Using a personal computer

The five advantages of using a computer are :

1) It can help me with my homework.
2) I can play games on the computer.
3) I can write messages and share information with friends.
4) I can buy things on the internet.
5) I can travel on the computer.

The three disadvantages of using a computer are :

1) Someone can hack the computer and damage all the information.
2) A computer is too expensive.
3) It can damage our eyesight.

Outside School Activities

I have many activities outside school. My parents signed me up for the activities.
On Friday, I have Kumon. On Saturday, I have Learning Point and Buddist Class. On Sunday, I have Chinese Enrichment.
I spend a total of 7 hours and 30 minutes per week on the activities.
Sometimes I feel tired after class. Occassionally, I feel angry because I don't have time to relax.
Kumon helps me with my maths, Learning Point helps me with my English, Buddhist class teaches me to be a good person and Chinese Enrichment helps me in my Mother Tongue.
It is good to have outside activities so that I can improve in my studies.

Passion for learning

Passion for learning is a very strong liking for learning.
We need passion for learning so that we can become an expert in what we do.
When we have passion for learning, we could discover new things like Einsten.
I have a passion for learning how to play new computer games.
In my free time, I like to play computer games. I do my homework quickly so that I could have more time playing computer.
When I sleep, I dream of the computer games that I had attempted. During recsses, I dash to the computer in the canteen. Whenever I get a free computer, I will be elated.
I have a passion for learning, especially playing computer games.

Target Settings

I set target so that I know how many marks I want to get for my examination.
I use last year results to help me set targets for this year.
I will read and revise my subjects every week. I will learn from my mistakes and corrections.
When I do not understand or when I am not sure, I should quickly ask someone to help me.
My parents will check my work and give me tests.
I like IT lesson most, I hope all lessons are like IT, so fun and exciting.
After examinations, my parents will bring me to a holiday if I do well. I like to go Genting or Downtown East for the fun thrill rides.

What is dengue fever?

Dengue Fever and Dengue Haemorrhagic Fever (a more severe form) are the most common mosquito-borne viral diseases in the world.
Dengue Fever is an illness caused by infection with a virus transmitted by the Aedes mosquito. There are four types of this virus (serotypes 1 to 4) which can infect you.
Dengue Fever is spread though the bite of the Aedes Mosquito.

How I celebrated Chinese New Year

On the first day of Chinese New Year, our cousins came to our house. Our uncles and aunts gave us red packets and we had a great time eating lunch, playing and watching televison. Then, my family went to Grandma's house. Grandma gave us red packets and we watched televison there. After that, We went to the Singapore Flyer to have a great dinner. After that, we went to the River Hong Pao to watch the performance. It was very crowded. Finally, we went home tired but happy as we collected many red packets.

Total Defence

Singapore is a small country. It has a small population base and no natural resources. It is a multi-racial and multi-religious society, a young country whose roots are still being planted. All these make Singapore vulnerable not only to military attacks, but also to exploitation of our economic, social, political or psychological weaknesses by those who may wish to do us harm.
To ensure that we can deal adequately with these challenges, it is important that Singapore has a Total Defence capability that involves the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF), as well as the entire civilian population.
